Workspace admins can request a full export of a workspace’s data from Settings → Data export. The export is prepared in the background and delivered as a single zip of CSV files covering feedback and snippets, contacts and accounts, labels, roadmap items and votes, surveys, interviews and transcripts, and reports. This is different from the per-page CSV exports, which download the snippets or feedback matching your current filters. A workspace data export includes everything in the workspace.

Request an export

  1. Go to Settings → Data export.
  2. Click Request export.
The export runs asynchronously. Depending on the size of your workspace it takes a few minutes to an hour. You can leave the page; the status in the Exports table updates automatically while an export is in progress. When the export finishes, you get:
  • An email with a link to the Data export page.
  • An in-app notification with a Download button.
Each workspace can request one export per 24 hours. The Request export button is disabled while an export is in progress or until the next export is available, and the page shows when that is. A failed export doesn’t count toward the limit, so you can request again right away.

Download an export

Completed exports appear in the Exports table on the Data export page with the time requested, who requested it, status, file size, and the date it is available until. Click Download on a row to get the zip file. Every admin in the workspace can see and download any export, not only the person who requested it. The file is named <workspace>-data-export-<YYYY-MM-DD>.zip.
Exports are available for 7 days after they complete. After that the file is deleted and the row’s status changes to Expired. Request a new export if you need the data again.

What’s in the export

The zip contains a README.md describing each file and its row count, plus the CSV files below. All files are UTF-8 CSV with a header row. Dates are in MM/DD/YYYY format (UTC). IDs are stable across files, so you can join them (for example, Feedback ID in snippets.csv matches ID in feedback.csv). Large tables are split into numbered files of about 100,000 rows each (for example snippets-001.csv, snippets-002.csv). Each part has its own header row; together they make up the whole table.
Cells that start with =, +, -, or @ are prefixed with ' so spreadsheet apps don’t run them as formulas.
